Wisconsin native Clint Fox began both piano and percussion lessons at the age of 10. Early on, his natural talent became apparent, and he won several awards and competitions at both the state and national levels.
Fox received a music scholarship to study piano and percussion at the Lawrence University Conservatory of Music in Wisconsin, where he graduated cum laude with a bachelor’s degree in piano performance/pedagogy. While at Lawrence, he won opportunities to participate in master classes with world-renowned pianists. During his senior year he was the Wisconsin state winner in the Music Teachers National Association Piano Competition.
Upon graduating from Lawrence, Fox was awarded an assistantship to attend Bowling Green State University, where he served as a graduate assistant, while receiving his master’s degree in piano performance and pedagogy. In 1999 he was one of only two graduate students awarded membership into Pi Kappa Lambda, a National Music Honors Society.
Currently, Mr. Fox is as adjunct-faculty member at Bowling Green State University, where he teaches courses in group piano and music theory. In 2006 he was awarded the Distinguished Faculty Award from the Phi Mu Alpha Fraternity. He is also the owner/director of the Perrysburg Music Center, an establishment that offers private piano, voice, violin, and guitar lessons to over 100 students.
In addition to his teaching duties, Fox has served as an accompanist for the Toledo Opera and as a staff accompanist for various summer music camps. He has also been part of the Perrysburg Summer Concert Series, playing at Three Meadows Park and Levis Commons and continues to manage a busy free-lance accompanying schedule.
When not teaching, Fox enjoys composing solo-piano music. His debut recording “Shadows and Reflections” is available on iTunes as well as other digital retailers. He also has had “Overtones,” a collection of 11 intermediate pieces, published by Wolfhead Music in Indiana. Fox currently lives in Toledo with his wife and two daughters.
